Pine Cone ContestThank you for your interest in the 1st annual Pine Tree Festival Pine Cone Art Contest. This is a contest that will allow you to let your imagination run wild. If you can think it and build it, all you need is your pine cones. Your entry will be judged by the public and prizes will be awarded to the best in each category. Entry deadline will be April 22, 2013. Your art will be on display from April 16 to May 4th. While supplies last, you can pick up pine cones at Custom Furniture on Pine Street in Swainsboro. Entry Fee is $5.

Axe Women Loggers of Maine
The 68th Annual Pine Tree Festival & Southeast Timber Expo is proud to present the Axe Women Loggers of Main. Led by a world champion axe thrower, the Axe Women put on a lumberjill show unlike any other. Shows feature underhand chopping, cross-cut sawing, axe throwing, hot sawing, log rolling, and more.
As an added feature, festival attendees can participate in an interactive log-rolling class between shows!
Showtimes: 11:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m.
