The Battle of the Bands will be held at the Bone Yard in downtown Swainsboro.

Entry is $50 and applications must be in by Monday, April 26 2010.

Here are the rules:

1. NO BANDS WITH CONTRACTS ALLOWED!  Previous year’s winner’s not allowed to enter.  Each band will be allotted a total of 45 minutes, for setup, performance of as many songs as desired and breakdown.  You are allowed to have help setting up and breaking down.  Any band going over the allotted time will be penalized by point deductions.
2. All entry forms must be filled out and entry fee ($50) must be paid via cash, cashier’s check, or money order to radioJones no later than the Monday before the date of event.
3. All bands must call in Tuesday, April 27^th by noon (12 p.m.) to 478-237-1590 or 478-237-0098, for order of appearance schedule.
4. All bands must check-in at the check-in table no later than 1 hour  prior to scheduled performance.
5. Additional points will be awarded for original music.  (A form stating that music is original must be signed prior to performance.)
6. Bands will be judged on:
   1. Overall Appearance of Band Members
   2. Musical Rapport
   3. Stage Presence
   4. Vocal Styling/Range
   5. Bonus for Original Music
7. While we respect your artistic integrity, please remember that this is a family event and we ask you to avoid swearing or performances of explicit sexual acts
8. radioJones, It’s Sponsors, station employees, and the City of Swainsboro, are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen equipment
9. All judges are encouraged not to compare notes, scores or communicate with band members before or during their performance

The Grand Prize winner will be announced after the last band plays and scores are tallied on May 1^st.  Band may have obligations to play at events announced by the sponsor.  

IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, THE JUDGES WILL HAVE 1 RE-VOTE, THE MAJORITY VOTE WINS.
